Lithotomy stirrups for built-in patient safety

Whether it’s gynaecology, urology, proctology - or increasingly procedures such as laparoscopic oesophageal hernia repairs - surgical access and patient safety (in terms of the control and manoeuvrability of their legs and hip joints) are important factors.

Both of these issues are said to have been addressed by AllenAmatech’s Lift-Assist lithotomy stirrups - offered in the UK by exclusive distributor Anetic Aid.

Sold in pairs, the selfadjusting boots minimise pressure on the calf when moving the stirrup, and the hydraulic mechanism allows easy movement of the leg when placing it in the desired position without compromising the sterile field - simply releasing the handle secures the leg holder in
all directions. Lithotomy range: +90º to -22º Abduction range: +12º to -9º
