Trust installs software to reach 18-week target

Business Process Management software is being deployed at University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (UCLH) to help reduce patient waiting times. LogicaCMG, in conjunction with Lombardi, is implementing the new patient tracking solution to support the Trust’s goal of being able to attain an 18-week “referral-to-treatment” (RTT) for all patients.

“The new patient tracking solution not only enables us to better manage our clinical pathways and resources but also helps us improve the patient experience by reducing uncertainty in the scheduling of treatments,” said James Thomas, IT Director at University College London Hospitals.

The patient tracking solution being deployed at UCLH will enable them to identify individual patients who are in danger of breaching the 18-week target, providing the Trust with the means to proactively direct its resources to ensure its clinical services are delivered on time.
