EBME chairman, Dr John Sandham, discusses what to expect at this year’s EBME Seminar and Exhibition. The seminar is an independent educational event bringing together healthcare professionals who are responsible for the management of medical equipment.
The aim of the EBME Seminar is to impart best practice for healthcare technology management (HTM) especially with regard to raising awareness of how improved management of healthcare technology can lead to improved NHS productivity and lower healthcare costs. Ultimately, it is hoped that the knowledge shared will lead to advances in best practice, enhancing patient safety and helping hospitals to deliver against their budgets.
The delegates are medical equipment healthcare professionals involved in areas such as procurement, maintenance, user training, and management of inventories. This year’s event is taking place on 26 April at the Milton Keynes DoubleTree Hilton Hotel.
Putting together a programme that meets the needs of a wide range of attending delegates is always challenging. In its ninth year, the National EBME conference is still pushing boundaries with its content which is a balance of technical and management innovations.
