All Mosaic printed cotton fabrics incorporate BioCote silver technology to give them built-in, permanent antimicrobial protection at no extra cost to the customer.
Due to the silver technology within the fabric, Mosaic products actively reduce the growth of bacteria on their surface, in between washes, while being used on the ward. Cost analysis has illustrated huge cost benefits over disposable systems.
As an approved supplier on the NHS contract, all Mosaic healthcare fabrics are permanently flame retardant to full NHS specifications and are washable to thermal disinfection temperatures of 71°C.
BioCote will not be washed out or rubbed off through repeated contact and independent laboratory testing shows Mosaic fabrics incorporating BioCote are still effective even after 100 hospital wash cycles at 71°C.
