Technical editor Kate Woodhead RGN, DMS, attended the OneTogether partnership conference in Birmingham, where two new resources were unveiled for perioperative practice, to reduce surgical site infection.
Nearly 500 delegates attended the recent OneTogether Expert Conference, reviewing up to date guidance on evidence based practice for perioperative care. The partner organisations collaborate to create the ongoing development of resources, as well as provide speakers and expertise to the conference, all supported actively by 3M.
The mission of the collaboration is to promote and support the spread and adoption of best practice to prevent surgical site infections across the surgical patient pathway. The partnership connects UK infection prevention associations, perioperative professional organisations, key industry partners and the healthcare care community to ensure the continual improvement of practice to reduce surgical site infections (SSIs).
