The Infection Prevention Society, which represents professionals working in infection prevention and control, is requesting nominations for its annual awards programme.
The awards are designed to recognise and celebrate excellence in infection prevention and control across teams, branches and workplaces.
IPS president, Dr Neil Wigglesworth, said: "IPS is delighted to recognise the commitment and incredible hard work of our members, our branches and the infection prevention community. Every year we see fantastic examples of innovation and dedication to preventing infections in all health and care settings.”
Previous winner of the Branch of the Year Award, Linda Davies, added: “It was a great honour to collect the branch of the year award on behalf of the South West Branch, in recognition of the hard work present and past officers do, but also the commitment of the members in ensuring the branch is successful in achieving collaborative working, education and development needs of all of us as members."
Katy Coombes, winner of the 2017 IPS Link Practitioner of the Year award noted: “It was a delight to know that my efforts within nursing practices had been acknowledged. This award has boosted my confidence and opened my career opportunities significantly.”
