Timesco of London has relocated to a new 26,000 ft2 head quarters in Basildon, Essex, to handle growth in both UK and international business.
Sales and marketing director, Shah Fayyaz, commented: “It has been a real struggle managing the huge growth in demand for our products while maintaining the high standards of customer care we base our business philosophy on – we were bursting at the seams in our old London premises. With an industry that is being driven towards commoditisation, it is difficult to drive home a message of quality and service, but we are proud to have over 75% market share in some of our key product lines, and we are on track to triple our turnover in the next four years.
“Our new premises will give us the space to deliver on that message and incorporate economies of scale and efficiencies that we can pass on to our customers.”
The premises provide improved space and working conditions. There has been a large investment in technology and R&D facilities and there is a key focus on the environment. The company plans to cut its carbon footprint dramatically by expenditure in recycling processes, energy efficient lighting and heat recovery systems and a “think green” company philosophy. There is even a travel plan developed in conjunction with the local council to manage staff travel to minimise impact on the environment.
