Tackling infections in hospitals

A bundled approach is the best way of ensuring hospitals stay clean and remain infection-free. That’s the view of Peter Teska, global healthcare sector expert at Diversey Care, which is part of Sealed Air. During a trip over from the US he took time out to speak to The Clinical Services Journal editor Alec Peachey.

Peter Teska is responsible for developing Diversey’s offering for healthcare on a global basis, with emphasis on the infection prevention products, solutions, and programs that the company offers. During our time together Teska highlights differences between the way hospitals in Europe and the US operate.

Teska is in the UK with a remit to highlight the company’s newest product offering – Oxivir – a ready-to-use disinfectant cleaner based on proprietary hydrogen peroxide (AHP) technology.

“It is something like a $60 million brand globally right now,” notes Teska, “but has very little play in Europe.”
