The British Society of Gastroenterology (BSG) marked its 80th year with its biggest annual meeting at the Manchester Central Convention Complex in June. The Clinical Services Journal editor Alec Peachey reports.
For 80 years the BSG has been at the forefront of educating medical professionals about the latest advances in medical research, treatments and patient care.
This year’s annual meeting featured a number of new highlights including the hands-on Endoscopy Village – where clinicians were able to practice their endoscopy technique on pig models and discuss their skills with friendly experts.
BSG chief executive Richard Gardner told CSJ that this particular idea was an extension of Endolive UK 2017.
