The UK’s largest independent specialist in pressure area prevention and therapy is expanding further into wipe-clean bedding.
The Sylvan products have been shown to reduce hospital laundry costs, and will complement the Talley Group’s existing pressure-relieving mattress range. Sylvan’s technology produces duvets and pillows that are totally sealed, with no stitching, thus preventing any contamination from bacteria, viruses and soiled liquids.
This move is the latest in a year that has seen Talley develop its portfolio, including the launch of BlueSky Medical, a negative pressure wound therapy system, and the introduction of a sanitising system, TECare, for hospital wards and GP surgeries.
In the last 12 months, the Talley Group has also invested in manufacturing equipment at its headquarters in Hampshire.
Kevin Mearns, Talley Group’s operations manager, said: “As the industry becomes ever more cost conscious, so specialist companies must look to providing a more comprehensive product range, while also becoming more efficient and competitive. ”
