BMI Healthcare, the UK's largest independent healthcare provider, has announced the appointment of Richard Gregory to the role of director of market engagement.
BMI Healthcare, whose parent company General Healthcare Group is a subsidiary of South African firm Netcare, owns 59 hospitals and clinics across England, Scotland and Wales.
Richard Gregory (pictured) brings 12 years of experience working in the private healthcare sector. Gregory will concentrate primarily on growing and improving BMI Healthcare’s self-pay service.
He said: “I’m delighted to join BMI Healthcare at an exciting time in the company’s trajectory. BMI Healthcare has some unique aspects to the service it provides for patients, such as a central patient contact centre and its BMI Card which offers patients the chance to spread the cost of their healthcare. I will be working closely with our key internal and external stakeholders to continue and enhance our efforts in providing a high quality experience to our patients who choose to pay for themselves.”
Group chief executive Jill Watts added: “The executive team and I welcome Richard to BMI Healthcare. His extensive experience in strategic healthcare management and business development will be an asset to the organisation and we look forward to working together to consolidate BMI Healthcare as the leading provider for UK and international patients.”
