Following a successful first intake onto new healthcare engineering foundation degrees, Eastwood Park is taking applications for September for its new BSc (Hons) in Management of Healthcare Engineering Technologies and Facilities.
The BSc has been designed and developed by Eastwood Park specifically for individuals working in the healthcare engineering and estates and facilities sector, focusing on developing additional skills, knowledge, understanding and management of medical technology in the workplace.
This award will be run as a part-time programme, based around distance learning and assessment, enabling individuals working in the field to obtain an appropriate accredited work-based qualification at an undergraduate level whilst in employment. The award is highly work-focused and employment- relevant, and will allow learners to both develop and apply learning in the work place. This learning is also supported by four residential weekends at Eastwood Park.
The BSc complements the rest of Eastwood Park’s new ‘degrees’ portfolio, sitting alongside a Foundation Degree in Hospital Engineering and a Foundation Degree in Medical Equipment Technologies. Learners don’t necessarily need to have undertaken an ‘Eastwood Park’ foundation degree to progress onto the BSc, however, and applicants with other relevant qualifications and experience are welcome. Although you cannot beat experience, a degree level qualification can help hospital engineers stand out both within their workplace and employment market, as well as provide employers with a recognised development programme to continue to raise standards.
