Details have been announced for ‘Completing the Picture’ 2016, an annual educational symposium for healthcare professionals who use, manage, maintain or purchase medical devices
This popular event, now in its 16th year, will take place on Wednesday 29 June 2016 at The Nottingham Belfry, NG8 6PY.
Designed as a forum to improve awareness and share knowledge of medical device trends in the NHS, ‘Completing the Picture’ is free to attend due to an educational grant from Welch Allyn. This year’s varied programme will address many of the challenges laid out in the Lord Carter of Coles Operational Productivity Report, released in February 2016.
Confirmed speakers include, Candace Imison, policy director at the Nuffield Trust, who will talk about quick wins in digital healthcare; Simon Walsh, procurement director at Central Manchester NHSFT, who will discuss unwarranted variation in medical device procurement; and Gerry Bolger, nurse informatics lead at Imperial College NHS Trust, who will highlight the nursing efficiency that can be achieved using connected technology.
