MHRA WEBSITE – IT PAYS TO CHECK

It is wise to make a regular check of the Medicines and Healthcare Regulatory products Agency which highlights recent alerts and safety information on medical devices and medicines.

A regular bulletin known as “One liners” is free and can be downloaded as a poster for the notice board. With such a wealth of information being presented to all practitioners, it is vital that regular information is available, easily accessible and colourful. “One liners” meets all these criteria highlighting recent alerts and problems reported to MHRA which all users need to be aware of.

Incidents relating to medical devices must be reported to the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) as soon as possible. Further information about reporting incidents, online incident reporting facilities, and downloadable report forms are available from MHRA’s website (www.mhra.gov.uk).

Alternatively, further information and printed incident report forms are available from: MHRA Adverse Incident Centre Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency Market Towers, 1 Nine Elms Lane, London SW8 5NQ Telephone 020 7084 3080 or Fax 020 7084 3109 or e-mail: aic@mhra.gsi.gov.uk (An answering service operates outside normal office hours).
