Efficient endoscope reprocessing

WASSENBURG is a global specialist in flexible endoscope reprocessing and has been dedicated to the design and manufacture of endoscope washer disinfectors for more than 30 years. The latest model, the Wassenburg WD440 PT, features:

  • A process indication bar which uses colour LED technology to indicate the status of a cycle.
  • Integrated foot sensors which enable hygienic one touch door opening.
  • Intuitive colour touchscreen which make working with the new WD440 PT a more user-friendly, fast, safe and easy experience for the operator.

These changes enhance what is already a high-performing and reliable machine – combining efficient reprocessing technology with clean/contaminated separation, as well as low air leakage between the clean and contaminated area.

Process Manager, Wassenburg’s proprietary software, can also be used to help hospital endoscopy departments achieve best practice. Decontamination units in many parts of the UK are already using the programme to safely and securely carry out a number of key tasks including:

  • Registration and real-time monitoring of the processes in Wassenburg washerdisinfectors and drying cabinets.
  • Providing full traceability data relating to patient, scope and process operator.
  • The tracking of all endoscopes in use in realtime.
  • Enabling all data to be accessed via the internet (including Trust-wide access across multiple sites).
