BAILEY INSTRUMENTS developed their first single-use instruments seven years ago launching its innovative ergonomic designs into podiatry and gaining National Framework positioning via the NHS Supply Chain Innovation Pathway.
The new Surgical Instrument Framework in 2012 gave the susol range a platform via the NHS Catalogue to make the general range of single and reusable instruments available to all NHS Trusts in England. Most instrument types – from simple but reliable plastic dissecting forceps to precision engineered micro crocodile forceps – are now available under the expanding susol range.
Innovation continues with the use of more plastics and clinician led design development. The Framework ambitiously and successfully sought to raise Quality Standards in the market and improve the control of Labour Standards via supplier chains and Bailey Instruments has been enthusiastically engaged with the process.
The Core Range defines a range within the general, A&E, ENT, max fax, dental, podiatry, maternity and gynaecology areas of clinical activity. The products are available via the NHS Catalogue or direct via National Frameworks and Contracts across the UK.
