The Healthcare Infection Society’s 9th International Conference takes place 16-18 November 2014 in Lyon, France. The Clinical Services Journal provides an overview of some of the key conference themes and innovations being highlighted at the event.
This year, the Healthcare Infection Society (HIS) will be joined by the French Society for Hospital Hygiene (SF2H) as co-host of the 9th International Conference (HIS 2014). Following the success of the last international conference in 2012, HIS 2014 promises to be just as stimulating and has attracted a wide range of world experts to talk about key topics on healthcare-associated infections and their prevention and control.
The conference will be driven by a three-day scientific programme covering a range of key subjects including epidemiology, surveillance, IT in infection prevention and control, decontamination, blood-borne viruses, antibiotic resistance and rapid diagnostic methods. Delegates will have the opportunity to discuss these main issues and network informally with their international colleagues.
