The Oxford Challenging Hip Meeting, supported by Orthodynamics, recently offered the opportunity to discuss a variety of difficult cases encountered by the primary and revision hip surgeon. An expert faculty provided their views on how to deal with a selection of challenging scenarios – inviting interaction and debate from delegates on a variety of clinical presentations, including the ‘traumatic’, ‘metastatic’, ‘fragile’ and ‘dysplastic’ hip. Setting the scene for discussion, the meeting opened with an overview of current trends in hip surgery.
