Foam dressing supports healing

SYNERGY HEALTH has added ComfiHeal, a superabsorbent foam dressing, to its Comfi range of woundcare solutions. The dressing has been clinically proven to provide superior performance, supporting the wound healing process.

It offers a simple, safe and effective superabsorbent foam dressing with a silicone adhesive border developed for the management of moderately exuding wounds.

The dressing features a superabsorbent layer which absorbs and retains exudate, removing it from the wound bed and surrounding skin. This layer also increases lateral wicking into the polyurethane (PU) foam, helping to minimise the risk of maceration in both the wound bed and peri-wound area. The PU foam then disperses fluid across the dressing to maximise absorption and enables vapour transfer.

In-vitro tests demonstrate that ComfiHeal offers up to 37% higher absorption capacity compared to other foam dressings on the market. Early indications from clinical trials are positive, with patients responding well to the dressing and their wounds improving.
