SonoSite has opened a new UK education centre at Great Marlings, Luton. The purpose-designed training facility offers a comfortable lecture theatre and fully equipped training rooms, allowing delegates to gain valuable ultrasound experience using the most up-to-date equipment.
SonoSite has a long commitment to education and training, recognising that learning a new ultrasound technique or procedure can be challenging. The company has built a faculty of renowned specialists, each with many years’ experience of using ultrasound in their respective disciplines, and developed a wide range of courses suitable both for participants with limited use of ultrasound in their daily practice and existing users wishing to further develop their skill set.
Courses cover a broad range of disciplines, including anaesthesia, critical care, emergency medicine, interventional procedures, musculoskeletal applications, and visual medicine workshops. Practical demonstrations, with images projected onto overhead display screens to ensure excellent visibility for all delegates, are supplemented by hands-on practice sessions.
Course numbers are strictly limited to enable delegates to gain maximum practical experience of ultrasound scanning.
Upcoming courses include:

28 April 2014: Introductory ultrasound-guided regional anaesthesia
23 May 2014: Ultrasound-guided chronic pain management
