Why disinfect when you can Tristel?

Established in 1993, Tristel is the global leader in chlorine dioxide disinfectant solutions for infection prevention and contamination control. At IPS 2016, Tristel exhibited its surfaces range, comprising high-level disinfecting and sporicidal solutions for preventing outbreaks and ward closures.

Fuse, Jet and Duo harness the powers of Tristel’s proprietary chlorine dioxide chemistry. They are effective against a wide range of microorganisms, including multi-drug resistant pathogens, in short contact times.

Why disinfect when you can Tristel?

Tristel Fuse combines the powerful biocidal efficacy of chlorine dioxide with cleaning action. It is designed specifically for use on large surface areas such as floors and walls and can be decanted into dosing bottles for application on smaller surface areas. Tristel Fuse achieves high-level disinfection, including sporicidal efficacy, in five minutes.

Available in a Gel or Liquid spray, Tristel Jet is a fast, effective and easy-to-use chlorine dioxide-based solution for the high-level disinfection of near-patient surfaces. Tristel Jet is proven effective against microorganisms of concern such as Clostridium difficile, Mycobacterium terrae, Norovirus, MRSA and VRE in 30 seconds (Gel) and 60 seconds (Liquid).

Tristel Duo is chlorine dioxide in a foam, designed specifically for the cleaning and high-level disinfection of near-patient surfaces. Its innovative delivery system ensures that Tristel Duo is delivered safely, rapidly and at one effective concentration for each application. Tristel Duo achieves high-level disinfection, including sporicidal efficacy, in 30 seconds.

Success stories

By interrogating their internal data closely, working with Tristel and devising truly creative campaigns, the infection control team at Coventry achieved striking success in 2014: every ward achieved 100 days free of C. diff. in a year, 95% of wards reached 200 days and 14 wards achieved a year clear.

A review of cleaning processes and the introduction of an enhanced cleaning and disinfection programme incorporating Tristel’s chlorine dioxide in combination with other control measures was considered a major factor in terminating a protracted Trust wide outbreak of CPE at Wirral University Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

Tristel products are manufactured in the United Kingdom. Tristel Fuse, Jet and Duo are classified as biocides under the EU Biocides Regulation.
