Across the Sharpsafe® and Clinisafe® brands, Frontier medical offers a wide range of solutions for disposal of sharps and clinical waste.
Sharpsafe is a sharps containment and management system which incorporates Sharpsafe Near Patient Sharps Disposal™ (NPSD™) and Aseptic Non Touch Technique (ANTT®). NPSD is a strategy for reducing needlestick injuries which features sharps containment products specifically to be taken to the patient. Sharps are disposed of safely at the ‘point of use’ thus eliminating many of the opportunities for needlestick injuries.
For the disposal of non-sharps based clinical waste, the Clinisafe range offers two solutions – Clinisafe plastic - designed to hold clinical, anatomical and laboratory waste and Clinisafe cardboard containers.
These cardboard containers accommodate soft and solid clinical waste and are constructed from recycled cardboard with integral polyethylene liner with ties for closure. The environmentally friendly, lightweight design contributes towards lower costs and a reduction in carbon emissions1. They are also delivered flat prior to use, minimising on storage space.
